Anybody have any experience with one of these? Curious if they would lower the db level enough to hear the difference.

I wouldn't waste my time with either. All I see those things as are a restriction.
I would get a nice free flowing Magnaflow muffler and add a cutout after the y-merge, before the over-axle when you want to be loud.
