Default Ok WTF NOW!

So my Bird is really pissing me off. Now I stop to get gas and the Low coolant light comes on. Car never moves from normal temp otw way. Well half way home the SES light comes on too. about 3 mins later it goes off......I get home turn car off and check coolant, seems fine. Start it back up and the low coolant light doesn't come on. Seriously regretting selling the GTP right about now. Any ideas?(besides rolling it off cliff)

The check coolant light sensor is a common problem for these cars. As far as the service engine soon light, who knows. Maybe you didn't close the gas cap all the way? Was the car missing? Driving differently? If not, then don't sweat it

The ses light could have been a glitch, if your worried about it scan your car for codes.

Don't ignore the SES...have it scanned and figure out what's going on.

If the low coolant light is bothering you, just unplug the sensor (it's located on the passenger side of the radiator, just below the radiator cap.

You can unplug the sensor and the light will go off. My LT1 had some issues with coolant disappearing, but it didn't leak. It took 6 months before it got bad enough for me to realize I had a water jacket leaking into cylinder. I took a long trip (with the sensor unplugged because it annoyed me) and walla it over heated after I got home because it got really low.

Thats retarded, It's only a good idea to unplug it if your NOT losing coolant. Although you shouldnt rely on the sensor, coolant level should be checked regularly.

Lol I found that plug unplugged and plugged it in about a week ago. Looks like the dealer knew to unplug it. I have what feels like a surge or miss every now and then which I'm beginning to think its Opti. Plugs and wires was just replaced. Does the OBDI store codes?

Yes, indeed. Opti will likely give you a code 36 (just resolved my own code 36 over the last couple of weeks, culminating in a new Opti). SES could be many things. 94 cars you have to scan to get codes. Like Joe (RamAir95TA) said, find out what it is. Not good to ignore SES...

I had it unplugged long before the coolant was disappearing. The sensor didn't work at all in my LT1. The light would always be on regardless of the coolant level. The sensor was screwed.

Unplugging the sensor will not make the car run any different. It's just a warning light.
