Default LT1 Single plane intake ****! pics inside!

Here are my pics of my newly acquired intake. I bought this from Fuel on this board and it needed a little TLC. So I welded up the bolt holes and the had the holes redrilled for the LT bolt pattern. I also built my own elbow b/c I didn't like Edelbrocks or paying $300 for one and I wanted to be able to use my 1,000cfm throttlebody instead of buying a new one. Well I spent quite a few hours oon it and it's going to be installed this weekend. Here are the pics of it after I finished powdercoating it silver vein. The studs are too long b/c the n2o plate has not been installed yet. LMK Enjoy. later Clint

Looks good Clint, should have shaved the rear too? But awesome looking setup, elbow looks like it should flow well. Any intake plenum shots or is it stock?

I plan on using the distributor hole in the future so I wanted to keep it. The intake was fully ported inside when I bought it and I even opened it up some more with a mill to match the elbow. I am excited about how well the elbow came out now I just need to get my bigshot plate and modify it. Later

Looks awesome Im in the middle of converting a victor jr over but running a carb and rear distributor. I like that color on there and should make some good power over your LT1 intake

"Good ole country boys can build em too"

Looks pretty freaking nice, that's coming from a fellow DIY guy. Saving money like that is a smart way to go faster. Anyone can buy them but not many can build them.

PS: Powder coating looks like crap, I'd send it back and have it redone

Were you not from Ohio? Or live there? Sorry for thread hi jacking Clint but us Ohio boys should all be born into engine building and head porting lol.

Plus I think the powder coating looks good, it would match a hammertone tubular BMR front end parts well.

Used to live in OH, then I had to move for my job. You could say I was born into engine building, even though my first engines were from 2N/8N/9N Ford tractors. I'm definitely a country/farm boy from Ohio and we never had money to buy stuff so we just built it ourselves.

I'm just giving Clint crap about the powder coating cause I know he did it

we should have results in a few weeks. I am waiting on my new wire harness to come in. Thanks for the compliments on the powdercoat, b/c i did it and Dustins just hating. LOL I will go dyno as soon as it's running. I amy go to a 4barrel throttlebody with the boost style hat b/c it seems people are picking up big time HP. MY elbow is better than 90% of the stuff I've seen but I spent alot of time on it. Start with 1-4"-45degree pipe, a 1 inch spacer + a little fabwork and some welding. Luckily I powdercoated it to hide the imperfections. But I bet mine will out flow most elbows. Later

Fabrication looks good, but I would be worried about starving the front cylinders with the angle.

Going to start out with 150HP and work my way up to about 250HP. If I still don't reach my goal, I may step up to 300HP with a direct port or double cross plate. Later

Looks good, however I would not leave that regulator attached at the rail like that. Its too close to the injectors and fuel fluctuation. Move it of and out a bit.

Thats not where I am mounting the regulator just for mocking up but the stock rails have the regulator directly on the rail right?

Fuel, Thanks for the good deal on the intake do you think it looks Ok since I finished it? I welded up those 4 middle holes so now it's like a Vortec intake with only 8 bolts holding it down. I wish I had the funds to buy your throttle body too but well see how well this elbow works and go from there. Later Clint
