Okay my opti went out and i am not sure what to do.
should i replace it with the stock one or should i go with an aftermarket one. and if so which one?
or should i do the ls1 coils.
how much does this conversion cost and where do i get the parts too do it?
thanks guys

i recommend you diagnose it first, do a search to find some information
if you do replace it do not use anything but stock oem, or you will be doing it again real soon, you can get a good deal from thepartsladi on ebay, they are listed for a corvette though

what makes you feel its the opti? more info?
i just changed my opti, really enjoyed the learning experience .car started stalling intermittently got worse until it wouldn't start at all, opened it up and rotor screws backed out and caused ignition failure.dumb **** that put on MSD cap and rotor before i bought car didn't thread lock the bolts/screws,didn't dress/seal cap surfaces...I bought a cardone select opti from advanced auto parts for 225.00 discounted down to 179 + tax, came assembled with a new cap and rotor ,looked fuckn perfect... cam reluctor wheel had no warping, opt internal parts were all new.reinstalled it after giving engine a bath with the thoroughly cleaned and inspected MSD vented cap, rotor, and sealed/ locktited bolts/gaskets.so far the car idles and pulls better than i have ever felt .....50miles so far,i still am actively pursuing the efi24x parts to convert. yes its pricey but efficient.
