Default Look at these DYNO graphs

These are my dyno charts that include before headers and after headers which include a tune. What are you're guys opinions of my numbers and the tune and basically analyze my charts.

Car is a 1997 camaro A4 with 74,798 on it.

Pacesetter headers, pacesetter y-pipe, MSD 8.5 wires, NGK plugs, K & N filter.

Well I paid 150 for a tune, I thought I should be making more power. A dyno place here in Lincoln, Nebraska. I got 4 dyno pulls with that tune, so I really don't know how well he tuned it cause I know nothing about tuning a car. Is there anyway to get more power and a better tune? I think for a header and y-pipe LT1 that 265whp is a little low even if it is a automatic?

Thanks,

Devin

so i think its safe to say a bolt on car makes power up and a lil bit past 6000rpms?

i got a bunch of guys saying to not spin my motor past 5800rpms that im losing time that way. i completley disagree

i dont think it looks too bad, not to mention the fact that you picked up over 25hp throughout the entire curve and like 40 ftlb of torque under 3500 and 25 from 3500 to 4500

you should feel a decent SOTP increase, and like stated, the track is what matters - tons of things can affect your dyno numbers - the important part of the dyno is that you got a tune with a spot on a/f

Try Mad Tuner. He tuned my bolt on car and it runs like a bat out of hell!!!!! $150.00. My car has True duals and an H pipe. Didnt have room for the X pipe.

C/A/I and a 160 thermo, plus 1.6 roller rockers would make a difference.

the gain before and after header install is good, i dont get what your trying to say. car is rated 285 from factory and you dynoed 245 at the wheels. you picked up 25hp over the entire curve and 40lb torque in the low rpm. i think its pretty good.

numbers look good to me...get it to the track. id rather have a car make 250RWHP and run 13.0s then a car that makes 280RWHP and can only muster a 13.5

I was thinking with a CAI and 160 thermo could I hit 270ish, IDK just that I have seen M6 bolt on cars make 300whp and I just feel alittle low but then again im a A4, I do agree though that I think my car responds very well to mods (referring to the header before and after). Any other suggestions guys, and closest track would be in KC if I wanted to do 1/4 mile.

With a stock airbox thats pretty good. CAI make a huge difference on these cars. Of course you may need a retune with that if it leans out any.

How much you think a CAI would help me make?

Thanks,

Devin

find a CAI used or pick one up new I you should be at 275rw. The 160 thermo isnt going to do ****. After the CAI and re tune get some 1.6rr's they good for 12-13rwhp.
