Started up the new motor this weekend. Had an instant SES light on. Car isn't tuned yet for this setup, but was tuned for last setup(355/ported heads/cc305). We used the old opti, wasn't having any problems before. Little help?

36; High Resolution Pulse Circuit (Check Opti pigtail first, persistent return after clearing accompanied by driveability issues = new Opti in your future)

42; Ignition Control Ground Circuit (check ICM wiring, test resistance using shbox's procedure: http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#opti_test)

If everything looks ok after troubleshooting, reset the PCM by disconnecting batt. ground for a few minutes and then drive and look for the return of codes...

Best of luck. This pair of codes ended in an Opti replacement for me a couple of weeks ago.
