Does plugging the Mallory box into the MAP senosor cause a P0107 code for MAP or MAF sensor condition? Just got my car scanned and this was one of the codes.

Why would you plug it into the map sensor?

That's what the wiring instructions say to do

you only need to use that in boosted applications when you need timing retard based on lbs of boost. i use the 685 for nitrous timing, and definately have never hooked it up to the MAP. its really not needed unless you are turbo'd or supercharged. hope this helps

As stated ^ only for boost reference setups, and it requires their map and harness...

i see in your sig you are running nitrous, and if that is still correct, then no, you dont need it. but you can splice your auxilery timing retard wire into the same wire that activates your solenoids and when you hit the spray, itll automatically retard your timing based upon what you program your retard at. hope this helps. also for some reason, mallory requires an Accel MAP sensor. lol but yes, you have to use aftermarket stuff.

if you want to get really sneaky, you can use your auxilery rev limiter wired through a momentary button as a two step launch controller. you could even wire it through your cluch pedal swith. not sure just what you call that, but its the same switch that cuts the cruise control and allows the car to start when you push the clutch. wire it up so that it deactivates when the pedal is released and you are in business

Yes, I have the timing retard wire spliced into my solenoids for nitrous use. Thanks again

You're probably already using it, but the window switch is great for N2O activation too. No worries about it coming on at too low an rpm which will rattle a bottom end bad, or of it staying on in case of a broken driveshaft, etc.
I don't run a 685 on my LT1, but love it on my 61...even though it's all motor. I don't see why anyone would buy an MSD digital 6 when it has slightly fewer features and costs considerably more.
