Default injectors

What injectors do you guys recommend for my set up. Cars running lean and sometimes pops when i hit the gas and found out thats why its pops sometimes. Car has stock injectors now and stock fuel pump. Car just tripped 100k on it. Mods are ported and decked heads .020. 55cc chambers. They have stainless 2.0"/1.6" valves. Intakes been ported to match heads, 1.6rr,cc306, CAI, Shorty headers no cats flowmaster, madz28 tune. Some of you may know it hasnt been running as good as it should but im trying to get all the parts before i get dyno tuned and race it anymore. The only thing i plan on doing in the future as far mods are longtubes, stall, gears, Maybe a 58 tb, and obviously injectors. So what injectors should i look at and what # injectors?

36lb should be more than enough especially if they are of the svo brand..

I been doing some reading and the SVO injectors actually flow more in our cars right? So 36# svo really flows a little higher than 36#.

I said it in another thread so I'll mention it here. Take your projected flywheel HP and multiply it by .07. That's the suggested injector size.

so a motor making 400 hp by ur equation would only need a 28 lb injector...that dont sound right. Those 28s would most likely be maxed out

If I am not mistaken, the .07 factors in an 85% duty cycle. And that equation is correct.

A 400HP motor translates to around 320whp. 28s would be more than enough.

The .07 (from what I understand) actually factors in a DC of 80%.

Ok guys I havent been able to fine and good deals on a set of 36# svo injectors. I found a set of racetronix 42# but would that be too much for what i need? And are they a good brand? What would the 36# svo's be in my car with stock fuel pump?

42# injectors would work fine also - you just need the PCM tuned for that particular size.

I will personally be using Ford #39s on my H/C build. The red or greentops should be fine for you though

Yeah when i pick up a set ill be getting a tune first since I will probably get rid of my shorty headers and go LT and I dont really want to run it long without a tune from bigger injectors. So what # would the 36# svo's be on my motor.

Maybe for an auto, but you definately wouldn't loose that much on a M6 setup.

Right...the OP has an automatic. Figure ~335 for an M6.

yep absolutly correct, i was going to reccomend 30's or 32's for it. Should be plenty I was runnin 32's on my 11.5:1 TFSheaded 355 with a big AI HR cam in it with no problem. 28-32's are what i would reccomend. Also as for the popping thing, Im kind of leaning towards the tune itself.
