I'd go with the first one so you can start spraying!

I have the one in the second pic. Its nice and does what its supposed to. The only thing is I had to drill a hole for my opti vent tube. No biggie, took 2 sec with the drill.

basically just pick the one you think will look the best/cleanest in your engine bay. I personally chose the satin finish trickflow elbow, I ordered it from summit. it was like $80, a little pricey, but it looks factory and I'll never need to replace it again or worry about tearing it

some may argue that certain elbows "flow better", which is a joke IMO...id bet money that it will not make a noticeable difference on the road, on the track, or at the dyno.

FWIW the first link is the same seller as the nice stainless headers that are detailed in a thread on here elsewhere. Seems like a decent seller. I don't see them listing the headers lately though. Was hoping to pick up a set later.

Also, someone mentioned drilling a hole for the opti-vent. When I bought my cai and trick flow elbow used from a member on here a few months back, the elbow also wasn't drilled so.....after a quick brain storm....I poked a hole in the 5/8" heater hose bypass cap that is plugging the AIR pipe fitting on the CAI and stuck the plastic vacuum elbow into the end of it. Has worked fine so far, and should see the same amount of vac as putting it on the other side of the MAF.

The 1LE probably has a larger cross section than any of the aftermarket elbows. It also looks stock, if that's important. I'm pretty sure I got mine from Jason Cromer.

I have a Trick Flow plastic elbow and I had to drill the same opti hole. I've had just about every LT1 elbow they make and by far my favorite is the composite style.

Wow so CRT finally stopped including those horribly ugly orange rubber sleeves with their elbows...took them long enough.

Off topic

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I emailed him asking if they were going to stock LT1 headers again, and he replied "no plans at this time"

Yes, the 1LE looks exactly like stock...Junky! It's also made of the same rubber crap that tears over time...

I guess looking "Junky!" is a matter of opinion. Some people, such as myself, prefer the stock appearance. My factory elbow lasted over 100K miles, and would have probably lasted much longer if more attention were paid during removal and installation. That's plenty long in my book.

+1. My 1LE is awesome. I went with a LID conversion so it's up for grabs. In some places throughout a car, stock sometimes looks better IMO.

yes, it is all matter of opinion, and absolutely, a "stock" appearance is a very nice touch to any engine bay/car...not gunna argue with you guys on that...but to me a satin or black finish trickflow or vortech elbow looks much cleaner without the ridges and folds (like stock and 1le) and looks like it belongs in the engine bay entirely (looks factory, but even cleaner than the factory piece)...just my .02 tho...thats why originally stated "pick out whatever you think looks best"
