96 lt1 no start/no spark
My car just didn't start after work a couple of days ago... No spark to plugs..
No spark out of coil.
Replaced coil.... nothing...
Hooked up the scan tool, saw no RPM coming from Crank Position sensor.
Replaced that, still no start.
I "assume" (Correct me if I'm wrong)the only two things that allow the coil to have spark is the Crank position sensor and the ICM.
So I replaced the ICM, still nothing... I'm at a stand still..
It just turns over, doesn't even try to bump over.
Thanks
Kris

FWIW, the crankshaft position sensor is only used to detect misfires and won't cause a no-start condition.

check signals at coil/icm harness, if no pulse is comming from ECM/ or comming from opti, check opti harness for continuity,if good,.... R/R opti properly ....my moolah is on the opti
