Quick Lid conversion question... I have searched and searched...
My question is:
Where you cut out the notch in the radiator core or whatever to lay the air filter on...does it block any part under the filter for flow? I have seen no good pictures that show this. Looks like some of the filter may be blocked.

Look up a thread posted by the_merv. He has some great pics in that thread. There is also a good write-up on the z28 forum. I will post it when i get back home. But anyways look that one up. It is fairly old since he has long since converted to a ls platform. But you could probably even pm him. Im sure he would be more than willing to help out.
