Can I 9 second in the 1/4 with 150 shot or will I need more with my setup?
Alright with my t56 I had a best of 11.61 NA and I ran out of gas at the end of the track and lost 7mph off my usual trap speed! I really think I would have hit 11.4s. Anyhow I have now converted to a th350 so I think maybe 11.2s or better. I know this is guessing but if you saw how slow my shifting was with the t56 you would see why the th350 should help me alot.
Anyhow would 150 shot work? or do you think I would need more? I have taken off everybit of my a/c, power steering, rear seats, radio before I ever started drag racing. So the times you see above I did already take the weight out. Also I think it is an odyssey battery that I will be replacing my bulky heavy battery with. Let me know what you guys think? Thanks a bunch.

If I can only get high 10's I'll be pissed. I got just about every suspension mod possible and can possibly hit low 11's NA with the tranny change. I'd be happy with mid 10's.

When my 355"LT1 ran 11.20-40's on motor depending on weather track conditions etc.. with the same CC306cam and heads you are running, The car would consistantly run 10.30's@130mph on 150HP n2o and this was after tuning so definately not 9's on a 150shot from where you are. You will need to change your gears and or tires to be able to cross the traps on n2o w/o hitting the factory PCM rev limit which is 6900rpms with OBD1 or someguys claim 7200-7300 with OBD2. I was running 3.42's at the time so that gives you an idea. Once I stepped up the n2o and got my 60's down to low 1.4's, I did run 9.80's-9.90's@136mph but not consistantly. You should have no problems running mid to low 10's on a 150shot once you get the gear, conveter and suspension just right. Later Clint

Wait maybe I didnt read the first post right. The current time is with or without the 150shot? I was reading it as you are currently spraying 150shot to get you your 11.2 or what ever and the only thing you change was the transmission. If thats not the case sorry for the misread there.

I disagree with Ray, I say you will need a 200 shot to manage a 9sec pass. But if you can get a 1.3 launch then you might get a 9. But it all depends on your suspension setup and when the spray kicks on as well.

A good friend of mine went 10.3 on a 100 shot with a very similar setup to the OP's car...he only made a couple passes on the 150 jets, all in the 10.0 range. No reason why with some additional track adjustments he wouldn't have gone into the 9's

I don't disagree that is will most likely take 200 to get there...but it is "possible" on the 150.

Yes, once you really get the car dialed in i could see you going 9.70-9.80's. But I do think it will take a 200 and a great: trans, gear, stall, cam match.
It wouldnt hurt things if you could sell your topend in favor of a le2 setup, or at least get a bigger SR cam?? You already have a race car suspension, why not have a racecar motor??
Whats in the bottom end??

Also when I got my motor build I asked him to gap the rings for 150 shot. So I am afraid to do a 200 shot, but then again I know people that do 150 shot on a stock block so those rings are gapped for no shot of nitrous. So with that in mind would it really hurt to do the 200 shot with the rings gapped for only 150 shot?
