Default Pypes exhaust

Any body here runnin pypes on a fbody? I've heard them on stands and found this one video of and ls1 car.

I really like how it sounds and think I'm gonna replace my old flowmaster with one. Anybody know how they flow compare to other mufflers and what about interior drone?

I've been looking for a straight through muffler that don't sound like a dumptruck and think this is it.

I always love the sound and free flow of Magnaflow mufflers.

I'm pretty sure that video is of true duals with their m80 mufflers.

I dont like magnaflow and want to try something that you dont hear on every fbody. All I see around here is straightpipes, flowmaster, and magnaflow.

I read the caption on the video and thought they were using the one in and two out racepro muffler going into a cme

Hook Maxflow. they are chambered but they sound awesome! I have 2 3" on my Xpipe. They videos do no justice. it makes the idle sound loud, and revs quiet. Its a quiet deep deep rumble at idle, then a crisp rev. WOT they are just as loud as bullets but not as raspy and not a lot of cackling on deceleration.

Pypes is located right by my house, the owner actually coached me in baseball and basketball a few years back, real nice guy. Anyways, that camaro sounds nice, I say go for it since it will be different.

I've got a Pypes Race Pro muffler and I like it. I do also have a chambered powerstick in the i-pipe, though. I'll try and get a video later.

I just put a 3 inch powerstick on my car this morning. Nice deep mellow idle with a sound that can't be beat. No interior resonances, and it just sounds plain nasty.

I have to wait until someone helps me, all I've got to do it with is my ipod, and someone has to hold it, I can't set it on the ground like a camera.

All I have right now is a short one from the front of the car with an exhaust leak. Note the idle is high because my tb sometimes sticks a tad and also I told the tuner a rpm that should have been lower, that's supposed to be set at 750 in drive right now, but sounds higher.

Here's my pypes video. The angle didn't work out well as you can't hardly see my car but I could not tell. First I go one way to a little over 2k rpm,, then I make a pass and downshift to about 3k, then park it and rev to about 3500. Damn, sounds louder than I thought.

Note: my idle sticks at 1500 rpms in park, haven't been able to figure it out yet, doesn't happen when the car sits for awhile, only happens after I've driven it for a while, doesn't do it in the morning. I think it might be the throttle cable, it's annoying. Oh and if you can see my car, my roof is primered in case it looks funny.

I'm bumping this thread. I finally got my racepro welded on Monday.

Very deep but quiet idle. Really smoothed it up you can't hear the cam like you could with the flowmaster. A lot less drone but it's still there but I can live with it. The interior pieces don't rattle anymore so I'm happy.

Wot it sounds awesome, very loud but sounds tuned, like more of a sportscar sound than a racecar. I do get some rasp at 3000-3500 rpms. Sounds kinda glasspacky. That could be because of me running shorty headers and all single exhausts I've heard seem to have some rasp at some point.

I'm gonna try to shoot a vid as soon as I can get a descent camera.
