Default Does this sound like slave cyl?

When i hold the clutch down longer than usual (at a light or something, or backing up) it seems to lose pressure. it'll grip really far down and only go up half way, once i release it, then slowly inch its way back up. under normal driving though it doesnt do that, only if i hold it down longer than usual.

does it sound like the slave?

it sounds like the slave, check the lines for leaks. lt1s clutch setup is alot better then the ls1 and I don't hear about to many problems with them. The good news is they are alot easyer to change then a ls1 slave also.

But yeah, check the lines and see what color your fluid is. Might just be time to bleed the system and see how it does.

The whole assembly cost around 200 new from GM so try not to mess it up. Make sure the fluid is full and its not dirty if your going to bleed it.

Ok so a few things..

got under the car to bleed it and realized immediately that the slave was leaking... so that's that, i need a new slave. $50 bucks at autozone.

I realized the slaves on these cars have no bleeder valve, how the hell do i bleed it once i pick up a new slave? is there a way to do it without buying one of those vacuum things?

There is a roll pin you have to press out to get the old one out, the only way to bleed it is to bench bleed it or install it and get ready for a sore left foot.

Roll pin? is that inside the hydraulic line connecting to the slave? How do you bench bleed it?

This is what your going to get from the store. Make sure the resivor is full when you bleed it. If you bench bleed it I usually use a vice, but be carefull cause its all plastic and you don't want to break it.
