x2 ^ Or I think its a 25mm but dont quote me on that, I just use a adjustable wrench. You can reuse your old gasket on the sensor and just use some silicone and let it dry over night before you put oil back in the engine.

if the sensor in the side of the oil pan goes bad could it cause my 96 to drop oil pressure all the way from 65 to 0 and cause the oil pump to stop and not let oil to circulate through the motor

No its a "oil level sensor, not "oil pressure. The OP sensor is rear, top of engine block

your 60-0 OP, in on acceleration or hard turns can be due to the oil pick up tube falling off oil pump. You would need to drop pan to fix that if that is the problem. Thse USB snorkel cams through the oil drain hole or through the "oil level" sensor hole would show if it did fall off

actually its not a "O" ring. It is one of those washer with rubber on the inside lip like many oil drain plug washer/gaskets. You can get them at most auto part stores

Unless it's already had an aftermarket sender put in it. the replacement that i put in the pan on my car had a simple o-ring around it. IDK how well I actually like that but my sensor had actually started leaking through the connector area which is pretty common.

Also, someone asked about an oil pressure drop from 65-0.... the answer would be that the pressure drop wouldn't be directly related to the sensor but if it leaked bad enough that the oil level went incredibly low then yes you could experience an oil pressure drop. Hopefully if you had a leak that significant you'd notice oil all over the place and stop driving the car before ever watching the gauge plummet to that extent.
