Default Tps install?

When I installed my tps today on my lt1 camaro there was a little orange cushion between the tps and the throttlebody.I really dont know what it is called, but when you unbolt the tps from the side of the throttle body,it comes out with the tps.I wanted to know do I have to reuse it or can I do without it?Sorry because i couldnt be any clearer

I don't remember seeing one when I took mine off. Trial and error. I screwed up and put a m6 tps on mine and that made it run like crap, shift hard, and shift at a low rpm.

Hmm I didn't know there was one for auto and standard. What would a auto tps be like in an m6?

That's because there isn't a different TPS for auto or manual.
