Default brainstorming cooler mount idea

just looking for ideas or thoughts on this....not sure if there is even enough room in there but heregoes...was wondering if it was possible to cut out the front plate mount area on the front bumper cover and placing my combo trans/engine cooler in there and fan for better cooling...and then putting a grill over the whole front opening....i was just thinking that it would deff cool better and get more air up there then infront of the radiater where its wedged into now....maybe even make some tunneling to feed my cai while i'm at it....any thoughts here

In theory it would cool better, but no one can tell you for sure. You would have to monitor your trans temps under controlled conditions, then cut up your factory bumper and repeat the same test and see if there is a difference, however miniscule it may be.

Or, just put it in front of the radiator down low and let your air damn do the work.

Also, what do you mean you have a "combo engine/trans cooler?"

it is 2 coolers by i believe therocool in one a larger one i use for my tranny and a smaller one for my engine...what i was thinking on moving it was because its a pretty tight fit where it is now and yes works great there when moving but there isnt enough room for my fan to mount and when moving slow or stoped it could really benifit with the fan.....when moving constant my tranny doesnt get past 160 and engine doesnt go past 180 but when sitting or at low speeds my tranny gets to 200 and engine a lil over 220 which i know isnt bad on either but i deff prefer it running cooler.....i was almost thinking like one would mount a intercooler for instance.....also i know the cai doesnt get close to as much air as it could be if i ducted out the front behind my foglights....like i said just throwing around the idea....maybe thinking of getting a used front cover and cutting it and seeing if it could work

That's what I would do. People put it there all the time for a reason, it works. The air dam and fans will do the job.
