you need a vented opti, timing cover, timing set, cam with the longer style pin, Flywheel since yours is a 6speed. And that should cover it. The iron heads suck though if its a longblock.

Id be careful If I was you. I'm not exactly sure what motor size came in the police cars but I know that the b-bodies came in two different flavors. The LT1 and the baby LT1 which is a LT1 that basically has a smaller bore and stroke. I got royally screwed on a setup like this because I didn't do my homework. I wouldn't want you to get burnt on this. So I recommend really looking it over and getting all the details that you can.
Maybe some the guys can shed some light on the differences between the baby LT1 and the regular LT1.

apparently there is a 4.8 liter version which is doo doo, and then the 5.7 that came in the camaros
the guy tells me his engine has aluminum heads, but i was told most came with iron heads
im not sure how you can tell without running the numbers on the block, or pulling the heads off and measuring the piston size

is he local? is it the guy who advertises it as "NOT EVEN TALKING BOUT THE ALUMINUM HEADS"
Correct me if im wrong but no B-body had alum heads.
If he is local i can probably come with you and check it out if im awake. Ask him if it would be a problem to take the oil pan off and let us have a look inside. 120k is alot of miles.

if it does have iron heads you might have plug wire fitment/clearance issues because the plug angles are straight instead of angled. i had iron heads on a temporary motor with old pace setters and MSD wires. had to wrap the primaries so they would stop burning through the spark plug boots.
