Default mods advise?

im ready to start doing some mods in my 97 Camaro z28, i live in California so im required a smog test every 2 years. I want my build to be street legal in all ways, I know building up my Baby the way i want too is going to cost me hard cash! my goal is something like 360hp.
My list to start off:
-Torque Converter
-k&n or Moroso cold air induction
-slp loudmouth exhaust system
-headers. are these on this link really street legal for my 97 Camaro?
http://store.newlevelmotorsports.com...e19chca15.html
-Automatic Transmission Supercooler

estimate! My Camaro stock 275hp
how much horsepower will i be pushing with all these parts?
am i going the right path towards my goal?
what else will i need to get to reach my 360hp goal?

Full bolt ons (cold air intake, shorty headers for your emissions, catback exhaust)
3400-3600 range stall converter (Yank, vigilante, and Circle D, make great stalls)
3.42 or 3.73 gears (GM, motive, richmond all make gears)
plus an LE2 top end kit (heads, cam, intake) with a custom ground cam (Im sure LE can help you with emissions specs)---elliotportworks.com

that will get you around 360-380 whp range with the right tune pretty easily I'd think.
at that point i'd start saving cash for a rear end

or...just nitrous

im sure others will chime in...

Please explain were I said that they do?

Most decent sized cams suggest auto cars have in the neighborhood of a 3600 stall. Yank suggests a 3600 stall on their site for cars with ported heads/cam/3.42 gears.

it's not for adding horsepower, its for adding driveability.

Mid-tubes, if you like Pacesetter, check out the 72C1337. The ones you listed above are missing the AIR injection fittings, EGR connector on the passenger side needed for CA emissions. Any longtube is going to be probably too much for a legal CA car. The 72C1337 are short/ mid-tube headers that are 50-state legal. The picture of them on Jeg's and Summit is wrong. I found a correct picture on another site if you want to see what they look like:

i really don't see a point in a smog legal build. most everyone i know who's started out that way has eventually changed their entire setup because it was boring, and smog is only a nuisance ever other year.

X2, I would do the bolt ons first, than some suspension stuff to help put the added power to the ground. Once you get the car dialed in the 300rwhp range do the Le2 heads and have Lyold grind you a CA sniffer cam. It should do 360-380rw and run high 11's. Enough to mess with anything on the streets unless you really street race for big coin.

I agree you will want a real cam after a while. But this setup should keep you happy for a season or two...

i have a set of hooker LT with jetthott ceramic coating, they are 1 3/4 x 3" and have air and egr. theese headers arent going to work with my project they've never been on a car let me know if you are interested. in my opinion will still pass smog testing if you still run your cats, the length orf the headers shouldnt matter.
Give me a PM I have a good source for performance parts cheap and new.
