Default MSD Optispark Help..

I did do a search...so...
I have a 97WS6 with a 95 motor installed. I purchased a used full billet MSD Optispark that was pulled from a 96Z...My question is there a difference between the optisparks from 95/96? I didn't think there was..but the MSD is not plugging into wiring harness..and the dowel pin is not fitting into the cam slot? Just need some guidance and thanks all...

So your keeping the opti anyways huh. I thought it was bad, thats cool though. 93-95s are the same! 96-97 same.

The MSD pigtail replaces the OE on the 83811. It goes all the way up to the pass. side of the manifold, under the cannister purge valve (2 vacuum lines assy. behind the MAP sensor). Disconnect the old one under there and plug in the MSD. You might want to keep the old pigtail in case you ever go back to a non-MSD in the future.
