lol. ill take the low blows my first one sounded ok. the second had a cut out but i figure thats the samething.

Cut outs are the same way. They just dont sound good unless you've got some kind of performance cam.

i have slp lm 1 and no cats. unless the motor is cold it sounds light a cow truck.

Get a dynomax bullet and turndown, dump it before the axle. It will sound better. This will be extremely cheap.

op, cut off the cat and get a moroso spiral flow with a flowmaster turndown, that what i have off my lt's and 3" ory, it sounds like sex, a bit loud. but no drone and great flow. As far as losing power, you dident, you just gained a bit in the top end, the bottom will still get a gain just not as much as the top so it feels like you lost some torque. When i got my car the cat was broken, so i had to cut it and gut it for a while, it sounded the same, just louder.

You guys are silly, people do muffler deletes on C4 Corvettes all the time. But we have two plus a resonator AND cats.

Besides, everyone seems to love the muffler delete cars on the strip and the sound they make, but off the track they become less cool? I like the sound of a motor with cats only, the are just enough to tone down the sound but leave it loud.

As if there is much difference between that route and all you guys running straight through style bullet mufflers anyway LOL

I cut my muffler off when I first got my car and I liked it better than the stupid flowmaster it came with.. it still had the cat. My cousin did that on his LS1 and it sounded good.

Now when I cut the cat off then it sounded like crap.

I'll second camar0corey.. I'm a fan of the dynomax bullet and turndown at axle.

its not HP you lost, its TQ which is acceleration, hence why it feels slower
