Default crank hub sleeve

I'm going to be installing a sleeve on the crank hub tomorrow and need some ideas how to put it on. I don't have access to a press so gotta go a different route. Friend told me to place the hub in the freezer and the sleeve in the oven. His theory is the hub will shrink and sleeve expand making it easier to install. Makes sense but sounds too easy lol. Any ideas?

Freezer/oven will work great. And yes, it's that easy.

I'd try 250 for 30 minutes or so.

I believe they are for sealing oil leaks at the crank hub. A little groove eventually wears into it causing it not to seal. I'm putting one on my car.

Correct, they are to repair the little groove that forms. Prevents have to replace the hub.

Was extremely easy to install. I put the hub in the freezer for 20 mins and put the sleeve in the oven @ 250 for 20 mins. Pulled both out and installed in seconds. After installing when you pull the flange off make sure there are no burs or it will slice the seal. Other than that easiest thing I have done so far lol.
