Default Check this sound out guys

http://tinypic.com/r/70v1hx/6

Sorry i couldnt get any video, This sound is somewhat getting louder daily. At idle the sound is really loud but once you go over 1k rpm it fades out and you can hardly hear anything. I took my phone under the car and near the torque converter, Thats where is the loudest.

Could this be a bad torque converter?

i could not tell by sound. have you pulled the inspection cover and checked tightness of all bolts? seen if anything is loose nearby or close enough to tap at some times? if you can have some one turn engine by hand while you lay underneath and listen and watch.

yea thats what i did, flexplate bolts are good. Once your under the car your automatically drawn to the torque converter. Great point on spinning the engine manually! ill give that a try.

If it was anything in the engine would the sound decrease on higher rpms? If thats the case, im screwed

loose bolts to flexplate was one of the things i wondered. the bolts wouldn't back out all the way but enough to cause trouble.

How does it sound at the start-up? I've seen the nose of starters break off and shed pieces down in there. Sounds pretty shitty, I would open her up before it gets really expensive...

the start up is good, actually on start up it sounds pretty normal as the rpms jump to 1500 then on its way down to idle the sound appears, its getting louder daily and now the sound occurs more on higher rpms, 1400 max. if i take it to 3000rpm everything sounds and behaves the same. So im assuming it cant be in the engine...i hope lol

lol I would have just unbolted the converter and then start the thing. this way you have removed the trans from the equation. If you still have the noise then you have an engine or acc. problem. if not then you know its comming from the torque converter or the pump.
