Yes, CC 503, The cam down is all rebuilt. No work on heads or intake beside a CAI. Im on a budget so im taking them to Kimm Barr Racing. I think ima go ahead and get the ported and polished...is it worth the extra money?

what do you mean go through the car? i dont have any intentions on breaking anything else?

The noise from the cracked flywheel will set the knock sensor off in a BIG way.

If you pull those heads, spend the money to have the springs setup correctly, have a valvejob done and put new seals on them.

Well i dont get a code from the knock sensor, i do get a random mutliple cylinder misfire. (is that sent from the knock sensor?)
But ive been getting that code way before my flexplate cracked. So therefore what else could be throwing that code? I've always thought that since i have that cam in there the engine thinks it's missing..idk if thats the case though..
any help will be much appreciated!

The flywheel being broken will retard timing through the knock sensor. Will not give you a code.

List the codes you are getting.

Egr flow malfunction
random mulitple cylinder misfire

I pulled the air pump recently. Also capped off all A.I.R fittings (i believe thats what it called. Like on my pacestters the fittings are capped off.

If the EGR is stuck open it has a HUGE vacuum leak that will cause misfires.

What are the BLM counts at idle?

Hey, I had those codes! A cap and rotor fixed the multiple missfires for me. No luck on the EGR yet though.

i couldnt imagine my opti being bad, it has like 6k miles on it lol. i do have an oil leak from there though.

When removing the EGR does it effect anything? Will i get the code (EGR Flow Malfunction)? I still need to pass inspection so can I just tune it out and i'll be fine?

Also what are the components in the whole EGR system. Is the valve bolted on the back driver side intake? Or is the valve bolted on directly on the intake in the back? Im confused which is which.

6k miles i know i know..

Just got the heads off today (: Took them up to Kim Barr Racing! Also got the new flywheel and springs in today!

Could anyone chime in on that EGR question i had? Since the intake is right in front of me i plan on making a plate and sealing it up.

Take the one the tube bolts to in the back, the flange slides. Slide it back and cut that end off and slide the plate off. Make you a block off, put a gasket on both sides.
