Thanks for the help guys. I believe I found the problem(s). The main one was #6 and #8 plug wires crossed. There was a hole in the intake between the maf and tb. Also, one of the vacuum plugs was half rotted. After getting those squared away, it idled much much better. I'll road test it this evening after I get back from a float trip. Thanks again for all the tips.

Good job troubleshooting- now you and your mistress are even better acquainted to boot. Gotta find her warts and soft spots...

HA!! Yep,we're gettin closer every day. After messing around with it the past 3 weeks, I think there's more room in my ol 74 corvette's engine bay than this bird. As for soft spots...I can't find any. The previous owner had a turbo in it and later a blower so this thing is built to take 1000 hp.

I took it for a short shakedown cruise this evening and it performed flawlessly. Now, if it will behave I can put some miles on it and get some pics and a vid.

he had the blower motor on a stand the times i went to look at and drive the car. he put a stock rebuild in it so he could sell the car. but all the induction, braking and driveline components are still there, built t56, dennys nitrous driveshaft, 1350 ujoints, moser 12 bolt. He works on the side for a roundtrack team and designed and built all the stuff for the rear susp. I couldn't pass it up for $8k.
