Need some advice ill be driving my car its a auto 95 z28 and say around 40-50 ill have my foot on the gas pedal like 20% just cruising and if i want to speed up ill give it a bit more gas say 40% but nothing it does not down shift ill have to give it about 60% then it will drop gear and go what can is it the transmission or the torque converter this happens at any speed
the transmission is shifted by the pcm and there is a tps vs rpm table (if I remeber correctly) that shifts your transmission. If you would like it to shift with less throttle you are going to have to get it tuned. I don't understand why you would need to drop a gear at 40% tps anyhow, if you wanna go you gotta put your foot down. Quit pussyfootin around and give it some gas

hahaha.... na its not that i want to drop gear faster it that when i drive my friends 95 z28 it has way better response than mine like the tranny feels more a live and when im in my car i can heat up my 245' tires and stall the car and it will hook like if i had slicks on and in my friends car his goes all over the road so i was thinking it had to do with the transmission or the torque converter
