coated bearing aren't necessary unless the motor is going to sit without being fired for long periods of time. They use them in race motors because of that not that they are a "performance" bearing or that they are more durable than a much less expensive tri metal bearing. Clevite H series yes, coated not unless the car is going to sit ALOT or you have money to throw away.
