Hey you stole my *****!!! This pic answered my question on if this was going to be a N/A or N2O build! I have to admit I'm a little upset that your getting rid of the t56 but I totally understand. Looks like a nice build you got started and I think it cool your trying to swing 9s with a 355. Good luck, hope to see you out at Byron some time this year.

Thanks guys! Heres the rest of the car for those whom havent seen it. I think its GMHT worthy. Its a real WS6 formula hardtop with 33k on it. All built in my little one car garage.

Your car looks awesome but your going to have to get it out of the 11's and into the 9's or 10's at least to make it into GMHTP. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ure/index.html
I know once you put the auto behind it and any n2o youll be in the 10's for sure. My old heap with original paint, 140+k miles when the speedo qwuit working b/c of the TH350, LOL but it was quick. later Clint

Your car looks great also! Ive read that a few times very impressive.
Car went 11.68@119.44 NA on a crappy 1.68 60ft leaving at 4500, car still had a lot left in it how it sat maybe an 11.3 or so. Since then Ive done a lot of suspension weight loss and a new cam etc. Still have more weight to pull and of course the trans and the N2o to put in.

I dont think it will be to hard to go 10s with a 50 shot.

Thanks and I'd say you should run 11.00's-11.20's once you swap to the auto and get the suspension setup right. My old 355"LT1 with the same solidroller thats still in my car ran 11.009@122.5mph and it wasn't hooking up well, 1.52 60'. I am sure that setup would have ran 10's but the shortblock died. I just swapped the complete topend including the LE cam into the new 383shortblock, that I built in my garage and went 10.82@127.8mph on it's second outing with zero tuning. Now I swapped to a singleplane intake, dynaspark opti and plan on having Futral fine tune it next month. Later Clint

It'll be a future GMHTP car for sure.

I'm in love with your car and Larry's the most

I am hoping to have it before the shootout and may make it out there if everything goes well and this oil spill doesn't kill our work here in La.

LOL wtf is GMHTP smoking? Magazine features are always cool, no matter how retarded the magazine editor is. I'm sure a 10 sec slip would get ACHotrod in a magazine... car is too clean!

Yeah that was funny, what I told the guy was my car was on 28" tires with 3.55 gears in the 8.8" rear setup for n2o when it ran the low 11second N/A times and that swapping to 26" tires would get it down into the 10.90-11.00 range on motor. The valvesprings that I was using were not doing there job b/c I could not turn above 6600rpms so I needed a solution. After the magazine shoot is when I bought shaft mounts, solid roller cam, 3/8" pushrods, lifters etc... and then got stuck on the 6900rpm PCM limit.

I agree with Clint....your car looks great but elevens is just too easy these days with those LS motors doing it virtually out of the box. I may have to switch to the Ram Air hood, damn that looks good.
