Default New valve covers + engine oil cap not fitting together

I got a set of tall aftermarket chevy valve covers and new gaskets and everything and got them on and everything is great...but the engine oil tube from the stock valve covers won't fit. I was going to just use the engine oil cap but the problem is that on the new covers the hole is not threaded at all so I can't screw anything in, should I take them off and attempt to get them threaded or what? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

If its not threaded then you can just go to any autoparts store and use a push in type breather and they should come with the grommet too

the only thing with that is that I already bought a chrome engine oil cap and I really want to use it since I paid twenty bucks for it lol is there any adapter I can get that just snaps in and has threads that would fit that by chance? sorry, I know this is really inconvenient lol

Best thing to do is what bigj mentioned. $20 isn't much, considering you can probably get a push-in breather for about the same.
