Default Any info about EB Porting?

I bought a set of heads that were supposed to be ported by EB Porting (heads are stamped with "EB Porting") and supposed flow 291cfm @.700", however getting back from the machine shop they show 185cc intake runners and stock sized valves, which leads me to believe otherwise.

Does anyone have any info about "EB Porting" and the quality of the port work? I bought these used assuming the 291 cfm may be a little high, but was hoping to have at least 270cfm LE2/AI 190 flowing heads, but I am starting to wonder based on the port and valve size. If anyone has any info about "EB Porting" or any contact info so I can find out more about these heads, I would appreciate it!

EB porting(Eric Bradby) does top notch work. I would not think twice about the heads performing up to what they say they will.

IIRC Joe O. and TEA both used him for their porting at one time or another.

Did you ask them if they ported the heads? Do them keep casting records of which ones they port??

You could of been told they ported them and they could be something else. Stock valve's dont make it look promising.

They are stock sized valves, but don't look like the stock valves, they appear to be stainless. The end of each head is stamped "EB Porting" as well, which makes me believe they are actually EB Porting heads, I just wondered if anyone had any experience or info about his work, as I can't seem to find any info online about them, and stock size valves and 185cc chambers aren't what is typically found on high flowing/performing heads.

Le2s are stamped LE2 on them with your initials, it would be kinda hard to lie about it.

not my point. my point is there are different levels of porting. like you said the le heads are stamped with there level but obviously eb doesn't. this could be a very simple port job on it.

That's what I am thinking. I'll try to take a pic of the runners later and see what you guys think. If I can get at least 400 rwhp with them I'll be happy.

Stock sized valves and smallish runners are not an idicator of poor performance.

eric bradby worked my heads after abortion racing engines abused them.

he ports one way ONLY! that is they are done right! not this stage 1, 2, and 3 stuff. when he ports it is complete!

people who get hung up on valve sizing need to be taken out to the wood shed out back! maybe the "engine combo" only required a stock size valve.

he does alot of "stock and super stock class" cylinder heads. which means he knows how to make power!

i would send him my stuff again and again if it was required. you'll be happy.

Don't get caught up in a numbers game just know they were professionally ported and Eric knows what he's doing. He had ported heads for "James" from the Cz28 board, the car ran 10.80-90's with a 350"LT1 years back. So his heads work period. Later

That's very good to know, now I'm getting a little excited to see what these and my setup will do. I just couldn't find any info about him or his heads while searching around online, so I figured I would ask you guys to see what you guys knew. I know smaller valves do help with less shrouding, and that bigger isn't always better in some cases. Given that I'm only running 22x/22x .582/.582 custom cam and stock short block on E85, I don't need huge heads, as RPM's should be no more than 6300, so these heads may end up being a perfect match for my setup, especially with the 52cc chambers. We'll see.

Thanks for all the info guys!
