Spark plug replacement....help!
ok so I have an lt1 trans am with hooker super competition long tubes and I can't seem to find it humanly possible to remove the last two passenger side spark plugs (closest to the firewall) without removing the headers themselves! Am I missing something here?
the open end will get caught in between a bend in the header and the socket when I start to back out and theres not enough space for a ratchet on number 8 and number 6 is impossible to fit anything in and have it line up it seems. I just spent over four hours on this and it's not like I'm an idiot. I mean, I rode the short bus for a few years and I was the only one in class wearing a helmet but....thats besides the point
Try the spark plug socket with a combo wrench (open end) from up top. I did mine a couple weeks ago on ramps and stood on a small cooler to reach #8 this way. Same strategy may work from the bottom on #6.

I have mid tubes, but i found it way easier to do those from under the car. You can get a box wrench on them, or use an open ended wrench with a spark plug socket like mentioned above.
if you have a gf or wife with very small hand, USE EM
. ask em put the socket on spark plug and you turn em. you dont know how many time I drop tool on tight spot that my big hand can get thru, i ask my gf, since her hand is very small

snap on makes a speical spark plug tool its like 30 bucks...its small just wraps around the spart plug and u can use a wrench or a socket on it depends on space..but going from underneath on a couple helps a lot!! gl man
