Default Spark plug replacement....help!

ok so I have an lt1 trans am with hooker super competition long tubes and I can't seem to find it humanly possible to remove the last two passenger side spark plugs (closest to the firewall) without removing the headers themselves! Am I missing something here?

Can you pull the starter and get to them? Helped me with #8 (closest to the firewall), but I didn't have long tubes.

the open end will get caught in between a bend in the header and the socket when I start to back out and theres not enough space for a ratchet on number 8 and number 6 is impossible to fit anything in and have it line up it seems. I just spent over four hours on this and it's not like I'm an idiot. I mean, I rode the short bus for a few years and I was the only one in class wearing a helmet but....thats besides the point

oh I should mention I'm working in a gravel driveway with ramps, hence my lack of being able to do a lot of work from under that car

Try the spark plug socket with a combo wrench (open end) from up top. I did mine a couple weeks ago on ramps and stood on a small cooler to reach #8 this way. Same strategy may work from the bottom on #6.

I have mid tubes, but i found it way easier to do those from under the car. You can get a box wrench on them, or use an open ended wrench with a spark plug socket like mentioned above.
