I am sure with heads done completely(full port job)the cam you already have will be alot better.Do you have 1.6rr on that cam now? Thats an old Comb. Motorsports grind and it makes good power. A friend here had that in a 97Z28 and ran 12.4 untouched heads +valvesprings all bolt-ons.
The AI spec set ups along with LE will give you a substancial gain above your current combo, provided you have all complimenting mods and of course a great tune!!!!!!!!!!

Judging from your 60' you have traction issues or the lack of a good stall converter..before you add more power and spending more money get the current power to the ground..... MPH is good, what altitude and DA are you running in?

If you cut a decent 60' you would be solidly in the 11's already. .

yea, im not to good at launching my car with the clutch its got, its either stopped or going, hard to slip it. and no traction problems just need to raise launch rpm. and yea i love that cam, and yea i have the RRs and all bolt ons so hopefully with new heads it will gain some decent power.

I'd reccomend them hands down, they're great to work with and are very knowledgable. I've got a set of their TFS 215cnc heads and they're awesome, I'm turning 10.60's at 129 with a 3500lb car that i drive on the street around 150 miles a week.

They know what they are doing but if your looking to go faster just start buying parts that will help get you down the track, and I'm not talking about more power. good clutch and some traction parts like shocks springs control arms and relo brackets plus a good set of tires for the track.

Power is superficial until you can get it to the ground Focus on that first

IMO, not at all. Then again, "to much" is subjective to you and what you want.

Don't forget AFR's line up of cylinder heads for the LT1. For a 350 you could rock either the 195cc Comp heads or the 210cc Race heads.

Tireburnin--just looked at your sig. That is a CRAZY mph for running a 7.24 in the 1/8th! Obviously your car had 6's in it, lol. What was wrong with the setup? Not enough tire? Too soft of a converter?

I think it was really a combination of issues. The car was setup for nitrous so the converter didn't stall very high on motor. The converter flashed to 3500rpm on the brake.

Another issue and probably the biggest was the track. Most of my times were run at Qualcomm Stadium at the Racelegal track in the parking lot. Basically a parking lot track where only the first few feet are really prepped.

The car could have used a diet too. It was right around 3,5XX lbs with driver. Since then I have done tubular suspension, fiberglass hood etc.

All of these things combined to make it very dificult to hook up. The car went a best of 1.59 at that track and usually averaged 1.65-1.68. With those kinds of 60ft times it made 6s impossible. I know that the car had it in it because every time it would hook, the MPH would climb even more. At our real track (very good prep) in the mountains (3-4,000 da average) I hooked and would run 7.2X at 95.5mph with a 1.58-1.60 60ft.

But that setup is all water under the bridge. The car is losing lots of weight, gaining TONS of power from a big cube LS3, getting a carb, getting suspension work and hopefully some new times this year!

Yea i've got a similar issue I'm only trapping 99-100 in the 1/8th but im trapping 128-129 in the 1/4......not nearly enough conveter in my car the thing cant get moving....
