Default Where did i go wrong?

Well the engine has about 6k miles on it. Just pulled the heads since it didnt have any work done to it. Its a rebuilt CC 503, LT Pacesetters. I basically got the heads cleaned up and new springs. Had the engine down to the block and timing cover, thats it. Pistons and all of that still in.

Before i did that the car has been running really hot and actually showed signs of overheating on the heads I was getting the random multiple cylinder fire for some reason. and egr flow malfunction. I removed the egr and capped it all off. we found problems with the water pump fan (incredibly loose and also had scratch marks against the back of the plate.

Basically when i started the car i was expecting a whole new car. Right when i started it everything sounded great! i was impressed! Much better response, increase in power and more but on the way home, a strange whistling sound occured. It sounds like its coming from underneath the engine. I have to get under it tomorrow. You can hear through all rpms but begins fading after 3000 rpm. Under load the sound is even louder! ill get a video tomorrow! The flex plate is new but we decided and decided if we should get rid of that torque converter and get a new one. We both instantly thought it was torque converter.
But the sound is like a fucked up supercharger in a way. More choppy whistles instead of a nice smooth whistle.

any help would be much appreciated. sorry if things dont make since. im half asleep
feel free to ask anything, ill be checking this hourly.

I still get the Random multiple cylinder misfire!! all plugs and wires are new. including coil and icm. opti has a new cap and rotor. Almost everything has been replaced

dont know about the other stuff but did you get a tune for the 160*? if not it isn't going to help you any. the fans have to be set to accommodate for the lower thermo temperature.

How hot does it run? a tune isnt gonna help lower the temps. It should still run in the normal range without a "tune." Like 180's*. My car doesnt have a "tune" for the 160 thermo and it cools off just fine. It still heats up sitting still like 210* then cools off as soon as i drive and goes back down to 180*.

Maybe its bad thermostat
