It seems "Silly" that you show a concern about weather or not he is going to...lol Then again you are pushing that 9,000 post count so anything and everything counts

Why do people bring up my post count when I never bring up my own post count? Now that seems silly also. I have noticed this several times over the last couple of months, people changing names bc they dont own the car anymore, and it just seemed kinda silly to me. It doesnt really matter just wanted to hear OPs opinion on it. But anyway, thanks for helping me get one post closer to 9k, obviously you are keeping count

And here ya go, funny I been helping OP in a cam thread currently. Guess some of my 8K+ posts can now be verified by you.

[QUOTE=01ssreda4;13545971]Clean car, however, are you going to change your name everytime you change cars? Seems silly to me[

I had asked the moderators if they could change my Elliott user name to my current so that I could retain all my "Trader Ratings" and 4,000 plus posts and next thing I know my Elliott user was banned and my new wanted name was active.

On a side note I do appreciate your help in my cam thread.

Yeah man, and I understand the wanting to change your name as cars change. But giving up post counts and trader ratings sucks ***. I dont understand what ever made name changes against the rules anyway. I figure I have a vette in my future but my name will stay the same. Its the same on all the boards Im on. If I start changing it, as time goes on I wont remember what name I am on what boards so I just leave it to be easier on me

Pfft you don't need a big cam to make power with LS1's like most people think. My dad made 375rwhp with a tiny 212/218 115lsa cam in his ls1 with an ls1 manifold and stock catback. If he replaced those he would likely be in the 390-400rwhp range. Not to mention his torque curve is a ton better than all the big cam ls1's.

I don't plan on throwing in a large cam. Probably do a Texas Speed 228/228 or 232/234. Hoping to push close to 400rwh in the end.

I'de do a mid-low 220's cam, but then again LS1's drive a ton better with cam's in them than LT1's do.

After talking with several LS guy's, a ton of them swear by the 228 cam. I'm leaning towards the 228/228 at this point.

The 228 is a GREAT cam. For all the reasons I have already stated. I originally went with a TR224 and am kicking myself for not stepping up to a 228 instead.

I have seen good results with the 228 cam, would make for a real fun DD. For the hell of it check out the FTI Street-Sweeper HT, it's a 228/232 .612"/.600" 111lsa. I think that's what were gonna toss in the GTO, people claim excellent drivability with a great power curve and very impressive numbers.

About changing usernames...I wanted to a few years back when I sold my '95 and bought the WS6. StealthFormula makes no sense, I have a freaken bright red car with a 107lsa cam and a dumped x-pipe, believe me I've been called out on it more than once.

Sounds like a sweet cam! I will look into that one.
