Default LS1 K&N FIPK Firehawk hood?

Any one ever try and fit it under a WS6 or Firehawk hood, filter looks to be about the same size as a ram air box. The maroon LT1 had it under a SLP Ultra Z so I imagine it should fit

The price is OFF the hook!
An Ls1 friend of mine has one and he did not gain anything over his SLP lid or the FAST toys lid......gotta love the polished shroud cover

I have one under my WS6 hood. Fits great. Louder than hell, though. Seriously, the air sucking/whooshing noise is LOUD, because it has no noise baffling.

The firehawk air box I had was also really loud also. I noticed both AS&M TB and TPIS TB I have are a bit nosier then the stock LT1 TB. Does any one have the stock maf diameter? It's 3.5 inches correct?

If this seriously makes the same power as a Lid setup(especially with a ram air hood), why don't LT1 guys just use this instead of doing the Lid conversion on an LT motor? Doesn't look like you'd need to do any hacking, frabricating, or anything of the sort to make it work...

I wanted to try one a while back, but the price was more then my current Trick Flow Elbow and LPE Cold air combined. I ended up scoring a deal on one used off CZ28.com. Once I sell my LPE Cold air and trick flow elbow, I'll have paid for this set up.

Yeah, it was nice, but I could never get it to fit well. I saw this set up on a LT1 done by Speed Inc, black Firehawk at the LT1 shoot out and it looked good, but he had an after market hood.
