I actually have a mexico red top and I must say it is one of the best batteries I ever had. It has held up to 4+ years with winter cold and not being started for 2-3 months at a time.

I can't see how ANY battery won't last for 1 year. They all will work for a year. Spend the coin and get a good one.

+1...the red top I bought for my Z28 lasted all but a year. They are POS now IMO. I went with a Orbital and have never had a single issue. Have one in my Jeep as well and it's been running strong for 5+ years now.

Exide Orbital is a brand of batteries. They make different models. I can't remember off the top of my head which model I have. What I can say is, the one I run in my Jeep has last 5+ years and the one in my WS6 seems to be holding up just fine (although it is new) at this point. My dad runs one in his Lincoln Navi....4 years strong at this point. A local auto parts store should have them avail. Might be worth looking into.

I've had a Optima yellow top. First it was in my van, it lives on in the TA. It's at least five years old. It's never let me down.

I've heard not so good things about the Optima red top.

I got it at Baxters Auto Parts. They pretty much carry the same thing as Napa and Autozone which are both in my area as well.
