Alternator Question
Alternator Question Living in Florida i tend to use my A/C a lot.
I am going to replace my belt soon, and started to think about replacing my stock alternator with one that puts out some extra juice. In addition I'll be getting a nice Red Top Battery as well.
Does anyone make a decent alternator for an LT1 that puts out some extra juice? Or do I even need to upgrade? I'm thinking that if i found one it couldn't hurt right?
I know that i could call my local parts store, but i wanted to check here first.

The stock LT1 alternator puts out plenty of juice. There are higher amperage alternatives, but they are big bucks. I wouldn't bother unless you've got a stereo that's power-hungry.

Cool, yeah i just checked Summit...and there isn't much but Powermaster brand...and yes, they are big bucks. Just figured i would see what others thought about the idea. But a fresh new 140 Amp Alternator, Red Top Battery and belt should be sufficient.
