Why do cometic gaskets become necessary at a 250 shot but not at a 150-200 if both..

Why do cometic gaskets become necessary at a 250 shot but not at a 150-200 if both.. So I have heard that you don't need cometic gaskets for a 150-200 shot but if you do a 250 shot it would definantly be a good idea.
Why would a car making 450 bhp + 250 shot need cometic gaskets more than a car making 500 bhp + 200 shot. They are both producing 700 bhp. Is it because the 250 shot is creating alot more torque than the 200 shot? Or at this power level no matter what shot you use to get to 700bhp cometic gaskets is necessary?

Nitrous can make a MUCH greater amount of cylinder pressure at lower rpms. I have zero nitrous experience though so that is just my understanding from some reading.
Think about it this way say the NA motor made 250hp at 3500rpms and 500 peak at 6500, hit that with a 200shot right off the line and you are generating a HUGE amount of cylinder pressure to get a big HP number at that rpm.
In looking at peak numbers only you aren't seeing the whole picture.

So I may not need cometics if my engine produced 700 bhp with a 150-200 shot?? The only reason I ask this is because I have a $750 circled converter that can handle up to a 200 shot(If I remember correctly). If I go any higher I think I am suppose to get the $1000 one. Plus with cometics I have to have a certain finish on my block and heads. So this is getting expensive fast. I know speed costs money but if I can do without these I would save alot of money.
