I've had loud systems on all my cars, and it is inevitable that you'll be looking for a way to quiet it down within a few months.

Only reason I see to not run open LT's is if you don't like ruining O2 sensors oh and the cop factor.

This is true. I went from a hooker catback to true duals to a 2otl.

Not the case with me. I never get tired of it and my chevelle has bullets dumped. Setting off alarms and cranking it at 5 A.M. is always funny.

Just get whatever catback you want and then throw an e-cutout on. Every corner covered there.

i ran a big cam and tsp true duals with 18" long pipes and turndowns in place of the mufflers. it was pretty loud. also ran open headers with 12" long pipes and turndowns with the same cam. that was pretty loud too. i don't think either one of those would qualify as a "***** catback", but they still weren't loud enough for my taste.

No back pressure with a stock engine will seem slower out of the hole, yes he will gain a little in the top end and he will throw a code. And straight headers on a dd is just annoying if you are going to drive more than 15 minuets.

It's not the volume that becomes annoying so much as the drone and vibrations you get...especially with the mega-phone hatchback. I'm afriad my car will never be the same again after a single dumped bullet-and that's AFTER the axel. So many new rattles and squeaks now, it's like I had a huge sound system in there.

i am used to old school where you can run 2 pipes all the back. so i have no idea whats good as far as a ory or x pipe. i just want it louder that just the flowmaster and manifolds that are on it now. my ol truck with a 350 puts the camaro to shame as far as loud

I agree to a point but more for your hearing and o2 sensor's sake. I ran open LTs for over 5000 miles.. only problem was the occasionally loud 12 gauge sounding backfire and going through o2 sensors.. crazy i know, but when your young its whatever

Have completed exhaust now, car runs the same

headers to these http://www.smileysracing.com/cat/vie...dbdb7&pgID=451 3"x6" to turn downs..turn down will make it louder then running noun do to the sound waves being bounced off the ground and back up off the under side of the car.
