LTX shootout CARTECh So who all is going to the shootout? Just wondering if any one knows how they will be with car tech.
For example if a car runs in the 10's will they require a cage, fire suit, extinguisher what ever?
Basically what is required by them to run 12's,11's,10's,9's so everyone will come prepaired

Tech is pretty easy, and this isnt a NHRA event. More than a few guys in the 10s without a cage last yr. Hell when I teched in they just made sure I didnt have any nitrous since I ran a NA class. BG is pretty easy on tech all yr from what I hear unless its a NHRA event.

So tony your probably the one to ask then. What are they gonna require to run what you run. I always thought the boys at Beech Bend were strict?

KCIR the past two years was very relaxed with tech in. Since this is our first event at Beech Bend I have no clue how strict they will be. Be prepared if you can. Many will take their chances and show up anyways but it is your choice. Private events like this usually are more relaxed.

If it's a NHRA sanctioned track then "technically" tech should be under NHRA rules regardless of the event. Seems the track is taking a huge liability chance if they bend the rules.

, T&T nights are much more strict. 
Stupid question, but, is there just a test and tune at the event? I dont want to run in any class, just want to see if I can hit my goal of 10s and have some fun. Not looking to compete with anyone.
There's no TnT. The track is closed Friday night. I think there's a circle track thing going that night. Now that being said, I believe the track IS staying open after the shootout for street night but you would probably miss the after party...whatever it ends up being.
