you were telling me in my other post looking at my dyno graph that it was valve float.

That's all I'm trying to solve at this point. i have a new coil and new wires I'll be putting in shortly and I'll go and readjust all the rockers again just to be safe and take it from there.

thanks for the feedback. quick question - 1/4 turn or 1/2 turn from zero lash when I readjust the rockers?

With stock hydraulic lifters I always did 1/2 turn past lash. I don't know what the fad is today with these younglings...

well Speed...i am not endorseing the 180 lb seat pressure as OP said "his builder" told him it was 180. just posting spring specs published by Crane.

FWIW I chased what appeared to be valve float with RPM's above 5500 when running Comp 987's with a XFI 466 cam...went to bee hive springs...still float or what i thought was float....turned out to be Opti...

Part of me is suspecting the opti here as well, i just started seeing random misfire's happening in the last few weeks (p300,p301,p303,etc...). I'll get it all buttoned together and see what it looks like with the new coil and module (mine are both stock since new). i do have a newer opti installed but we know how these things go. lucky i have a spare around somewhere.
