Hey:
It depends on how you want your engine bay, as it really cleans it up, getting rid of EGR, AIR and that big old ugly pump. The only advantage that I know of eliminating it is the back of the intake runs cooler and does not tend to lift and leak as much with it removed. The other issue is the egr valve gets stopped up and gives you a code and problems. Aesthetics is the only reason most people eliminate it. Hope this helps.
