Okay I posted up like a week ago saying i had fuel issues but turns out guy says its my coil... will it make the car break up real bad and at idle sound like im camming ? I definitely thought it was a fuel issue ... but if I should replace coil what's good brands to go with I'm basically all stock with lt ory slp exhaust and intake should I just get replacement at parts store or upgrade ?

 

A stock coil will work fine, so will something like an MSD Blaster.

one is just a cap and rotor, the other (more expensive) is the whole distributor

 

Those aren't coils.

Assuming you have a 95, use MSD Blaster part number 8226.

 

yeah i do have a 95 and i gotta ask the guy i forget what he said i am on vacation and he called when i was on the way to the beach haha so i was half listening i believe he said coil but if i replace the coil should i just buy the other stuff cap rotor and distrubtor at the same time ? or just let it be

 

A coil is cheap. If it doesn't work and you have reason to believe the distributor is your problem, then spend the money on an AC Delco opti - not an MSD.

The coil supplies the spark - the distributor, well, distributes the spark to the cylinders (and provides the PCM with the low and high resolution pulses it needs to fire the injectors).

They are two completely different components.

 

no i meant the reason to go with ac delco over msd ... i read about the difference between coil and distributor

 

MSD is either hit or miss. You will find that more people have had luck with the AC Delco than the MSD. Some people swear by them, but it's just not worth the risk.

AC Delco = OEM, factory replacement. Also the same as Delphi.

 

got ya but have you ever heard of the coil going out or screwing up causing my car to like die out and start shaking and when i go to hit the gas it like has NOTHING
