Possible to put opti in wrong?
just curious but theres three slots the opti shaft could go into, now i know one is cut specifically for it, but is it feasable to accidently go into the wrong one or not? i dont think so just wondering

What are your symptoms? I stabbed an opti one tooth advanced and it wouldn't hardly crank up (fighting the early spark) and didn't have any top end power (too much timing). Restabbed it and everything went back to normal.
just lost like 3mph in the 8th miles feels alittle flat through the power band, may be the 3800 DA and 99 percent humidity, idk just thats the only thing ive touched to effect power since prior strip passes

I believe in my camaro I installed it wrong or gota defective part bc I put it on an d hooked everything back up and then I started the car and it wasn't running right at all. It started and it was running so choppy like it was firing right and I had no power to the car. The wires were hooked up right. I'm getting the new part in today so I'm hoping it was a defective part. I also now know that there is a keyed splined in the shaft on the opti which lines up with the one inside the engine
