Default Underdrive pulleys

With regard to 25% underdrive pulleys on an LT1, what kind of power gains should someone see over stock? What about if these were combined with an electric water pump? Anyone have dyno-numbers?

You will see minimal power gains over the regular pulleys. Maybe a tenth in the quarter. I have never used an electric pump so someone else will have to help you there.

i put them on a friends car and he went to the track and it wasnt even worth a tenth. i have had my car for over 6 years and still running stock pulleys!!!!! instead of spending a $100 on pulleys put a little more money with it and get some suspension stuff. Lower control arms, sub frame connectors, or maybe a cold air kit. These are pieces that you will actually feel some difference and you may find them used here on this board or ebay.

Sounds like a pretty uniform "no." Cool. Saves me some $$$.

Pulleys you wont see a difference, but the waterpump is generally good for about 8-10 rwhp on the dyno.

I agree. Pulleys wont net you much. I got mine for christmas and there was nothing else cheap to get at the time. You might see 2-3 rwhp at best from them, but hey, every bit counts right?

E-WPs are a good mod but the reliability isnt there. They dont warn you when they die like the stocker. I'd reserve E-WPs for cars that see more track duty than street, but thats my opinion.

IMHO I would not do it in an a4 it drained my battery at every light or stop. I had the underdrive pulley but not the alt. pulley
