Default depressing...

got this car befor the 4th of july, noticed it had damage, just wanted to share the pics. got bored and finally took some. has a clean title so i assume whoever did it never claimed it or it woulda totalled.

Can only blame myself for not looking i guess. traded my gsxr750 for it. car has needed alot of work that wasnt disclosed. Some people are so shady.

Holy **** man yur pinchweld is fucked! I wonder how hard it would be to throw some subframe connectors on there now...

you got some pretty big gaps in between your body lines I assume?

if you follow the pinch weld, its the part that looks like a lasagna noodle.

amazingly the gaps arnt that bad on the car either. the hood gaps are the worst. ive adjusted it as much as i can though.

I would never suspect that that car has that kind of damage, from the pitures it looks like it was pretty well taken care of...just goes to show ya....

You just fell for the same thing i did!

fresh paint and chrome wheels will make you think anything.

So far the FPR vac line has been in 2 peices, vac line on the air intake was just laying there, the rad fans were wired to the fuse panel with 18ga wire, almost burned the car to the ground one day. Like everyone has said to me though, if it didnt need to be worked on i would be bored! Rims had no wheel weights on them. intake elbow was folded into the throttle body. front rotors and pads were bad. a/c needed work. Oil pan or something up front has a massive oil leak. one t-top doesnt have a lock, one door has a replacement lock thats just laying there. drivers side doorjam switch was missing.

I wouldnt be so upset about it all if the owner had disclosed this information instead of lieing straight to me. how do you not know that the rad fans are wired like they are, how do you not know the car gets 8mpg.

oh well its a project

Hey:

WOW and that car looks so nice. Only goes to show that before you purchase/trade for a car you need to get it up on a rack for a pre inspection prior to closing the deal.

Good luck on that car, a good frame/body shop can fix that to almost like new. Time for some welded SFCs.
Probally ran over a parking stop or curb and may have never even looked for damage on the car or known it was there. Maybe the Wife or GF did it. I've seen some damage underneath before from both curb and cement parking stops that looks like that. Both times the persons claimed they didn't know how or when it happened, they never do. When you don't pay attention driving thats what you get.

damn, yeah that kind of sucks. i was worried about the damage i found under mine last year which i'm assuming was from the floor jack the FL helpers used to help me change a tire in 2004.

(the black paint is overspray from having one of the gfx painted since they didn't want to take it off the car after they broke the one on the drivers side)

shoot thats nothing haha, could just take a body hammer to that!

I actually work for a body shop and we have a car bench with universal jig system. might have to talk to the manager. i looked at it, still wondering where you would even pull it at. might have to weld something on it.

^^if you are referring to mine, thanks! i get compliments on it all the time. i'm about to get a personalized plate that says "30footr" tho lol. it looks great from a distance, cleans up well, sick of finding **** wrong with it tho.

she will get to where i want her. for a 2nd car she is turning out ok. need to get more pics with the 315 nt555r's i got on her i love looking at them. I'm going for a budget build, fast, but not so insane thats its not streetable. I want something that performs and sounds close to stock on the street, yet when i take it to thet track can put down some decent times. I think the exterior is done the way she sits, just needs focus on other areas. im thinking used stall converter and used nitrous kit next. found a 3500 tci super street fighter for 175 lightly used that ill probably pick up next week if still available

Beautiful car to the OP - but for the license plate you really need to think about getting "PRTZEL" as that thing is all twisted up underneath. I'd be real leary about taking it to the track alot and putting strain on that frame. At the least I'd throw some sfc's at it to help strengthen it up a bit.

To me it looks more like it partially fell off a jack or a car lift than it was wrecked.

must just be the raw power of the LT1

it actually kind of does look like a jack slipped or something, the thing is though, the dog leg has been fixed by what looks like a hillbilly in his backyard with a bucket of bondo. i assume they are related, but maybe not.
