Thanks for all the compliments, guys. I like the fact that you don't see many convertibles like this...it's definitely the unconventional way to go. It should turn some heads both on and off the track

I love the 93-97 camaro body styling a lot. I love the convertibles even more. I've been searching around for a good deal on a LT1 convertible to DD, but everyone wants and arm and a leg for one.

You'll find one. They are a dime a dozen around this part of the country.

looks and sounds to like a very nice build

I'm surprised to see the compression and note 93 octane and not race gas or E85.

That's what we want people to say

But in the end, we will see how it shakes out. This may very well end up being a race gas mix depending on what we see on the dyno and at the track. That being said, AI and my builder spec'd the cam, etc for 93 octane.

I hear ya and I wanted to run on 93 with my 12.4:1 which it does, but I always run a mix with 100 to be safe. I just don't trust getting good fuel all the time.

Nice build, looks to be fun. I did notice in the background of the roll cage picture a nice LT1 intake hogged out for a monoblade.

Damn, you're not playing any games.

Mid 10s should be cake with your combo. Hell, once its dialed in I would be going for rock bottom 10s/high 9's with that setup...

We are out to see what an N/A, HR, stock heads/intake, DOT radial, street legal LT1 can do.

I don't want to be over confident, but I think this setup will surprise a lot of people once we dial it in.

Updated the OP with new pictures and converter information.

We also made a change on the head gasket from the GM .029 Impala gasket to a Cometic .030 gasket so we will be pulling the heads off this weekend to get that installed. Then we will be putting the intake manifold, throttle body, headers, plugs, wires, etc on the engine.
