Avoid anything cast, unless you like snapped cranks. This is an area not to skimp by on.

You might want to upgrade the rod bolts to the ARP 2000's that will add 100 to the rotating assembly, I don't think your going to get there with only 2500.

If you're looking to run 9s naturally aspirated, you better not HAVE a budget.

2500 is not set in stone. the reason i am asking is i dont like doing things twice regardless of budget i would rather spend the money and do it right the first time. my question is what rotating assembly is reliable budget aside?

"9s" and "budget" do not go together. It's been said a hundred times, but:

Fast, cheap, reliable. You can only have two.

You do realize how difficult and expensive this build is going to be, right?

find another bowtie block before you worry about a rotating assembly

Not impossible at all. Hope you have a fat stash or very good credit if you want it reliabe though. It will be well over 5-digits.

Want an idea of a no-budget max effort NA build?

410ci LT1 block, or 434 if you can get your hands on those mystery Bowtie blocks. Converted SB2.2s, custom pistons, custom sheetmetal intake, aftermarket engine management, massive solid roller cam, shaft mount rockers, expensive SR springs, lightweight rotating assembly, etc.

Back it with a built TH350, 8" high stall race converter, and an S60 with crazy gearing.

Fuel system would need to be stout as well - something like an A1000 and braded line all the way from the back to the rails. Don't forget a quality adjustable FPR.

You will need full suspension as well, front and back. Tubular k-member, adjustable chromoly upper/lower a-arms, and some drag shocks/springs. Shorten the rear and mini-tub it to fit some fat slicks out back. Tubular rear suspension like tq arm, swayba -**** that, its no budget - backhalf the sonofabitch and run a tubular 4-link, what the hell.

Then, to stay legal, you will need a cage. It won't see any street duty anymore, so now you might as well gut it and replace the glass with lexan. It will already need a cowl hood to clear the custom intake and 4bbl TB, so thats taken care of...

I could keep going forever.
