"I gave them the value of NEW LE2 heads and the Cam" Then they perked up a little bit, like "Oh...yeah we got a felony theft on our hands...if we solve this it will look good on our Record!" Its a small rural town on the out skirts of a bigger city. So really I don't think they have anything better to do.

start pulling up randomly at ppls houses who own lt1 cars in a buddies vehicle or something and start asking them if they have any parts they wanna sell for a 93-97 car.. worth a shot! start doing some ral private investigating

 

lol yeah gotta love small towns when somin like this happens. if its anything like my town I'm sure the cops are stoked to have somin to do instead of watchin kids party from the woods. also I'd go askin around to the local speed shop if there is one

X2...make a renter's or homeowners claim. I've been a fully licensed agent in over +20 states for a couple years now, and it never ceases to amaze me how many "covered" losses are never claimed.

If you have renter's insurance, most major carriers have "replacement" coverage either built into, or optional to the policy that legally require them to give you enough money to purchase "new, like kind and quality" of whatever was stolen regardless of what it's past condition was.

If you have Homeowner's...your deductible size will dictate weather a claim is in your best interest or not.

Well, called the PD today. Not Update so far, We are seeing if renters insurance will cover the loss. But my GF didnt put my name on the policy even though I am helping pay for it! I knew I should have had her correct it right away when I found out a couple weeks ago. Oh and today the only key to my 07 R1 VANISHED! I am hoping I left it at the gym by accident. If not, this month can bite my shiny metal ***!

i think i would invest in an alarm for that garage entrance door.. also a video camera...

I know for a fact no one stole the key. I just miss placed it and I have no idea where. Im so freakin stressed out, I feel like im going to lash out at people. I cant wait to hit the gym tomorrow. Since I moved I have been so busy I cant Practice or Teach Martial Arts and the gym has been my only source of a tension outlet. Im just bummed, I was going to start my head/cam swap this weekend. Took me forever to save up and find the right deal on the heads and cam.

Even if your name isn't on the renters policy, it was stolen out of the house that they insure. A good agent should work with you and your GF about getting you properly compensated.

I wonder the same thing, if parents would raise their kids by being a parent first in stead of trying to be their best friend. I dont think it would be such a big problem.

 

Yeah sometimes small towns are great, **** like this around here would get around fast, if one person can't keep his mouth shut, the whole fricken town knows. I've never had anything stolen from me other than gas, but some of my friends have and they eventually found out by word of mouth. That's small town monatana for ya

Man, that's really terrible. Kind of makes me wonder, I live in a small town too. Luckily, I was able to keep stuff in the garage and get my whole build done without "losing" anything. I hope you get something figured out. Getting compensated would help you get new stuff, probably in better condition than the stuff you lost. But, IMO, I'd get more satisfaction by finding the douche that took your parts.
