Default how to get 400hp

what are some ways and set ups you guys have that got you around 400hp at the crank?

You could probably do all the bolt ons with a mild cam to get to 400 at the crank.

do a hotcam kit and you will get 425

full boltons, 1.6rr, valve springs, and good tune and your there.

Not hardly. A full bolt on car usually dynos around 300-315 at the most, unless the dyno is super crazy.

The drive train does NOT take 100hp to run...

my bolt on car did 323/338, stock waterpump and it was before i swithched to a lid. I bet i could of put down 340rw as a bolt on car with the lid/EWP. also had shorty headers (mac's)

dyno pulls were done at speed Inc, dynojet.

Which is at most around 375-380 at the crank IMO.

A bolton lt1 isn't going to put out 340rwhp on an accurate dyno.

i build a 355cc, 238/242 hydrolect roller cam, shorty headers, 36lbs inj, 58tb, mid port out heads, dyno to 350hp and 348tq, 12.5 1/4m. tune by newtech one of the best tuners in califionia. Next step, long tubes and a 150 shot, 410 gears.

damn im glad i dont live in california. my ai cam only motor put down 363rwhp and 356 ft lbs through a 6 speed and a 12 bolt

How do you figure that? Is there something wrong with Speed Inc?? Lots of people in chicago go there and make pulls.

My 97 a4 with a misfire and needing a tuneup dynod at 18% drivetrain loss. (based off the 285whp)

25% drivetrain loss (400-->300whp) would be terrible.

That would be the equivalent of a stock LT1 dynoing like 215whp. That would be one POOR condition car.

this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-2019/ they use to advertise it 425hp but now i see the dropped it to 409, unless this is a different kit, which i dout it is.
